January
On January 15, Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets a fresh start—and more mortgages to pay—as this beloved debt, farming, and home-decorating simulator arrives on the NS2 (Nintendo Switch 2). Existing fans who purchased the original on Switch will be pleased to know they can upgrade to the NS2 version for just 5$. Meanwhile, those staying on the original Switch will receive the 3.0 update, featuring hotel renovations, crossover items from other Nintendo franchises, and LEGO-themed sets.
The US version of The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki also launches on the 15th for Switch, PlayStation, and PC. This is the 17th entry in the overall series and a direct sequel to 2022's Daybreak II.
On January 22, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade arrives on NS2, Xbox Series, and PC via Xbox. It includes all PS5 visual enhancements and the Yuffie story expansion, plus a new "Simple Mode" where stats are maxed out and all attacks deal 9999 damage for an easy playthrough.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins also hits NS2 on the 22nd, alongside the "Dream Four Heroes" expansion pack for all existing platforms.

On January 26, HIGHGUARD launches. Developed by former Respawn staffers (Titanfall, Apex Legends), this free-to-play PVP title trades wall-running and mechs for high fantasy—including the ability to ride bears into battle. It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.

Additionally, the League of Legends 2V2 fighter 2XKO leaves early access for a full launch on PS5 and Xbox Series on January 21, followed by Bandai Namco’s Code Vein 2 on January 30 for PS5, Xbox, and PC.

February
On February 5, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined brings the 2001 classic to PS5, Xbox Series, both Switch generations, and PC with a full modern remake. Expect over 100 hours of content for the main quest alone.

Nioh 3 arrives on the 6th for PS5 and PC. This is the first true chronological sequel in Team Ninja's hardcore Soulslike series, as Nioh 2 was actually a prequel.

On February 11, Suda51’s Grasshopper Manufacture releases Romeo is a Deadman for PS5, Xbox, and PC. True to form, it looks wild, absurd, and stylish.

On February 12, Yakuza Kiwami 3 / Like a Dragon 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties launches on almost all platforms. Kiwami 3 is a full remake of the 2009 title, while Dark Ties provides an entirely new side story.

Later in the month, Ys X: Nordics - Glory of the North (an enhanced remake) arrives on February 20, followed by the post-apocalyptic ocean adventure Tide of Tomorrow on February 24.

Finally, on February 27, Resident Evil Requiem (the ninth mainline entry) launches on Xbox Series, PS5, PC, and NS2. On the same day, native ports of Resident Evil 7 and Village will also land on the NS2.
