MapleStorySEA is bringing the world of One-Punch Man into Maple World with a limited-time collaboration launching on March 11, 2026. Headlining the crossover is Saitama, who joins the game as a special playable character, while the accompanying V249 update also introduces permanent gameplay additions and anniversary events beyond the anime collaboration.

Players will be able to experience Saitama's overwhelming strength firsthand through a limited-time playable job featuring his signature Serious Series: Serious Punch. The collaboration centers around dedicated event content, allowing players to battle monsters across Maple World using the hero's iconic abilities.

The crossover extends beyond Saitama. The new Virtual Battle System lets players step into the role of Genos and unleash attacks such as Incineration Cannon and Lightning Eye, while Centichoro Punch King offers a timed boss challenge focused on dealing as much damage as possible within two minutes. Successful runs reward Punch Coins that can be exchanged for exclusive collaboration items.

A selection of One-Punch Man cosmetics will also be available throughout the event. Players can obtain themed outfits, hairstyles, face coupons, and collectible companions including Petite Saitama, Petite Genos, and Petite Tornado through Special Luna Crystals in the Cash Shop.

The anime crossover may be the headline feature, but it isn't the only addition arriving with V249.

Outside of the collaboration, the update introduces the new World Archive, an account-wide collection system within the Dimension Library that allows players to register monsters and NPCs while unlocking rewards such as custom backgrounds and chairs.

The update also marks the start of MapleStorySEA's 21st Anniversary Countdown. Through the "Shall We Go to the School?" attendance event, players who defeat 2,000 monsters each day can earn rewards including 4x EXP Coupons and Karma Choice Additional Cubes ahead of the game's anniversary celebration.
