The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Reimagines All Out War as a Beat 'Em Up in First Trailer

Jun 16, 2026

Odaclick Game Studio and Trailmark Games have announced The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a pixelated beat 'em up based on AMC’s The Walking Dead. A demo is available on Steam, while the full game is planned for PC and consoles at an unspecified date.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival Reimagines All Out War as a Beat 'Em Up in First Trailer

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is taking AMC’s post-apocalyptic universe in a very different direction, trading tense TV drama for a pixel-art side-scrolling brawler. Revealed by developer Odaclick Game Studio and publisher Trailmark Games, the project puts Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne front and center in a combat-focused experience built around familiar characters and brutal close-range action.

Even in its short debut showing, the game makes its intent clear. This is a beat ’em up that wants each survivor to feel distinct. Rick enters the fight with his signature magnum revolver, Daryl blends knife attacks with his crossbow, and Michonne cuts through enemies with her katana. That lineup alone gives the early roster a strong personality, with each playable fighter reflecting the style fans already know from the series.

Instead of creating an entirely new storyline, the campaign draws from one of The Walking Dead’s best-known arcs: All Out War. The conflict between Rick’s group and Negan’s Saviors is reworked into an arcade-style action format, turning a major chapter of the show into a forward-driving brawler campaign.

"Based on the events of the All Out War storyline, fight through a campaign that reimagines the Saviors conflict that features walkers, threats, and surprises pulled from across the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead," an official description said. "You’ll explore familiar environments from the show – including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, Alexandria – enhanced by dynamic set pieces, environmental hazards, and intense, story-driven moments."

The first trailer also makes it obvious that players will be dealing with more than walker swarms. Alongside the undead, Rick, Daryl, and Michonne are shown facing human enemies as well, reinforcing the idea that this adaptation is pulling from both the survival horror and faction warfare that define the series. Negan and Simon appear to be positioned as multi-phase boss fights, while Winslow and the Well Walker have also been confirmed as bosses, suggesting a broader mix of threats pulled from memorable moments across AMC’s franchise.

There are also signs that the combat system is aiming for more depth than simple mash-heavy action. Odaclick and Trailmark say players will be able to build up their skills with each character, and the inclusion of multiple difficulty settings hints at a game designed to reward learning each fighter’s tools and rhythm over time.

As for when players can jump in fully, there is still no release date. What is available now, however, is a Steam demo for PC players who want an early look at how the game plays. Trailmark has also framed this reveal as just the beginning, describing it as the first in a larger wave of announcements from the publisher.

At the moment, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is planned for PC and consoles, with its full launch window still unannounced.
