At its core, Bigger Fish is all about one simple rule: avoid the bigger fish, eat the smaller ones, grow stronger, and eventually become the biggest thing on the map.
At the beginning of each round, you're just a tiny ball, so you'd better keep an eye on the bigger ones around you. They can turn you into their next meal at any moment.
Luckily, the map is filled with small pieces of food that you can eat to slowly grow. The problem is that this method is painfully inefficient. Every now and then, larger pieces of food will appear, giving you a much faster way to increase your size.
You can also use dashes and bombs to escape when a bigger ball starts chasing you. But honestly, they don't always feel like enough. And that's probably the most frustrating part of the game. So once you've finally grown strong enough, don't hold back—go eat those smaller balls and get your revenge.
If you can't stand the miserable little-ball phase of constantly hiding and running away, this game probably isn't for you. But if you enjoy the feeling of enduring the early game, making a comeback, and eventually taking over the entire map, then go ahead and give Bigger Fish a shot.
